Mayfair Park

At the heart of one of London’s most prestigious districts, Mayfair Park Residences includes a collection of pieds-à-terre, private apartments and townhouses, with Five-Star amenities and in-house services delivered by the adjoining Dorchester Collection hotel, 45 Park Lane. NBJ were engaged by the main contractor, F.B. Ellmer to carry out the joinery and panelling to various apartments and front-of-house areas, including the main reception and joinery finishes fit-out of the spa area. The project had a demanding fast-track programme in place, procured as a design and build contract, meaning that NBJ were heavily involved in developing the design with the project team and other interfacing trades, including the specialist lighting features in the reception and spa facilities. The main installation period was in the initial six months of 2020, leading to the unprecedented scenario of maintaining operations during the initial months of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Main Lobby full-height panelling was a stand-out feature, with solid oak frame sections, brass linings, integrated strip lighting, curved corners and coordination with the client’s art installation, with the room designed by Parisan designer Jouin Manku. In developing the brief, the interior design drew on historical references, blending them with custom-designed features to create sumptuous interior spaces that are organic, elegant and evocative, with inspiration taken from quintessentially British themes and motifs, such as leaves, rain and fog which Jouin Manku incorporated into the stunning lobby.
